The inner temple 120 x 100 cm. Acrylic on canvas This painting was born from a place of profound inner stillness — a space of clarity, where peace, gratitude, trust, and joy could quietly flourish. As I painted, I observed myself within the subtle landscape of my own feelings. With every brushstroke, I opened myself a little more, allowing the beauty of the present moment to enter more deeply — allowing the feeling itself to expand, to breathe, to become. I remained watchful and present, gently guarding the purity of that inner space, so that no thought would enter unnoticed, like an uninvited passerby. I felt like a guardian standing at the threshold of my own inner temple. And at the same time, I was the one opening its doors — opening the temple to colour, to sensation, to beauty, to everything that wished to flow into it. The temple itself became part of the painting, and the painting became a reflection of what I was allowing into that sacred inner space. Only now, as I put this experience into words, do I understand that creating this painting was, for me, a kind of initiation. An initiation into the awareness of how I tend to my inner temple — how I care for its radiance, its clarity, its purity, and what I consciously choose to cultivate within it. What qualities of feeling do I choose to nurture? What do I allow to take root within me? And what, through me, do I bring forth into the world? Perhaps this painting is not only an image of what I experienced. Perhaps it is a reminder of the sacred responsibility — and the quiet beauty — of choosing what we cultivate within ourselves.
